Advanced Find and Replace
How to work with Advanced Find and Replace add-on for Google Sheets
Please see step-by-step instructions and tips to find and replace data in your sheets in seconds.
Open the add-on from Add-ons > Advanced Find and Replace > Start.
You can type the entry you are looking for in the 'Find what' field and specify the type of data and other parameters on the 'Search in' tab below.
You can narrow your search down to specific data types: values, formulas, notes, or hyperlinks. Tick off all check boxes in the 'Look in' section to look for the data entry everywhere simultaneously.
The add-on checks the current open sheet by default, but you can change it to 'All sheets' or to the selected range in the 'Search within' section.
You can see a list of all open sheets in the sidebar. Unselect check boxes next to any sheets you want to exclude from the search.
You can make the search case-sensitive by selecting the 'Match case' option in the 'Match options' section.
If you want to find an exact match of your entry, you can use the 'Entire cell' option. Thus you'll exclude any cells that contain anything besides the value you are looking for.
Click "Find All" to work with the results.
