Let Excel create child processes

Turn off the Do not allow child processes option for your Excel by following the instructions below.

  1. Click the Start button and type in "Windows Security":
    Open Windows Security.
  2. Click App & browser control:
    Click App & browser control.
  3. Find Exploit protection and click Exploit protection settings:
    Find Exploit protection settings.
  4. In Program Settings, click on excel.exe:
    Find excel.exe.
  5. Click Edit:
    Edit excel.exe.
  6. Find the Do not allow child processes option and make sure to turn it Off. Do not forget to click the Apply button:
    Turn off the Do not allow child processes option.
