Highlight and identify unique entries in Excel

The Duplicate Remover tool, despite its name, can do a lot more than merely remove, and can search for not only duplicate values but for unique ones as well.

In this tutorial, you'll learn how to color and identify unique rows with the help of Duplicate Remover Wizard.

If you need to find repeats, here's how you can identify dupes and highlight duplicate rows.

In this video tutorial, I will show how to identify unique rows in a status column with the help of the Ablebits Duplicate Remover wizard. Despite its name, the tool can not only remove and not only duplicates.

On the Ablebits Data tab find the Duplicate Remover icon and click the down arrow below. We choose the Uniques Only option.

All our columns are checked. This box is ticked since our table has 1 header row. We can enter any number of header rows right here.

We pick the Identify in a status column option and click Finish.

A new column in the table has appeared. The unique rows are marked by the word "Unique".

In this tutorial, I will show how to find and highlight unique rows with the help of the Duplicate Remover wizard.

On the Ablebits Data tab find the Dedupe group and click the Duplicate Remover icon.

The tool selects the table automatically, but you can change the range selecting it right in the sheet.

Please pay attention to this box. You won't be able to undo changes made by the add-in, so we always recommend keeping this box checked, just to be on the safe side.

Here we select the type of data we are looking for, it is Uniques.

Now we shall select the key columns. As I want to highlight the unique rows, I leave all the three columns checked. And I click Next.

On this step, we are to select the action. I tick Highlight and choose the color.

The Duplicate Remover tool has found and highlighted all the unique rows.
