In this tutorial, you will find step-by-step instructions on how to deploy the Business edition of Ultimate Suite for Excel through System Center Configuration Manager. Also, you can deploy Ultimate Suite for Excel via GPO.
Note. While installing the Business edition it is necessary to ensure that changes to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER user branch are saved as the add-in is registered exactly to this registry branch.
Create an application
Run the Configuration Manager, create an application, and select msi-based deployment package of Ultimate Suite in the Location:
Note. Make sure the Ultimate Suite msi-file is placed in the network path and available to target users.
Review the imported information:
Specify the registration information:
Note. For the Install for user option (not Install for system), you can use the Ultimate Suite msi command line keys to deploy the Suite together with registration information, for example:
msiexec /i "excel-ultimate-suite.msi" REGISTRATIONNAME="Fox Mulder" REGISTRATIONKEY="ERLS7-XXXXX-4KXE6-XXXXX-TM6SP-XXXXX" /quiet
Review and complete the Create Application Wizard:
Deploy the application
In Configuration Manager > Application Management > Applications, select to create application and run the Deploy Wizard:
Specify the general information for the deployment:
Select the distribution points:
Choose an action and purpose:
Schedule the deployment, the user notifications, alert options, review, and confirm the deployment:
