Known issues

Some issues persist in Excel on the web and/or in desktop Excel because of browser or platform limitations, namely:

Where persists Issue
Microsoft Excel disables all modern add-ins (including Text Toolkit) for all old-format Excel files (.xls, .xlm, etc.). Only .xlsx files are allowed.
Text Toolkit processes cell values ignoring their Number Format.
The Undo feature doesn’t restore array formulas.
The Undo feature doesn’t restore formulas that refer to cells as table columns, e.g. Table1[@Column1].
Because of platform limitations, Text Toolkit might work incorrectly when several users change the same workbook simultaneously.
Excel has an issue because of which preceding apostrophes cannot be restored by Undo. For example, the alphanumeric string ‘123 is restored as the number 123.
In Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Edge, Text Toolkit doesn’t work correctly for private browsing or when the browser is set to never remember the browsing history.
In Safari, Excel Online has a bug because of which Excel’s vertical scrollbar is partially overlapped by the add-in pane.
In Excel on the web (Excel Online), the add-in shows an empty task pane and doesn’t work if third-party cookies are disabled.
Excel Online displays the "Sorry, new columns cannot be added to the selected range" alert when the size of your workbook exceeds the Excel Online limitations.
Excel Online may display the "add-in error" alert when the size of your workbook exceeds the Excel Online limitations.
In Windows, Excel has a bug because of which the add-in UI is scaled incorrectly when several displays with different screen resolutions and dpi settings are connected.
On Windows 10 1803 and 1809, Excel hosts its add-ins using the outdated IE 10 or IE 11, so the add-in may crash if your workbook contains a lot of data. Please update your Windows and Office to make Edge the host of Excel add-ins.
