    Select by Value & Color for Excel offers several tools to quickly highlight cells according to your criteria.

    With the add-in you can:

    • Find cells by font color of the currently selected cell.
    • Highlight all cells with the same background color as the selected cell.
    • Find cells with the same data as the chosen cell.
    • Select cells containing comments, values, formulas, blanks, objects, conditional formats, or blank cells.

    In addition, you can select numbers, dates, or text cells that are:

    • Greater or less than the specified value
    • Equal or not equal to a given value
    • Within or out of a certain range

  • How to find same data in Excel with this utility?

    Select any cell that contains data you are looking for, and choose to select All Cells with the Same Value. The tool will highlight all the cells that contain the same data as in the selected cell.

  • I need to select all cells with numbers that are bigger than 100. How can I do this?

    It can be done with the Select by Value option. Select your range and tick off Numbers. Choose Select cells that are greater, type 100 in the corresponding box, and click Select. All the cells that contain numbers that are greater than 100 will be highlighted.

  • Can I select all cells with conditional formatting?

    For this use the Select Special Cells operation. Select a range and choose Select cells containing conditional formats. Click the Select button and see all cells in the current worksheet with conditional formatting highlighted.

  • How can I find cells that contain pictures in Excel?

    The Select Special Cells option will help. Choose Select cells containing objects and all cells with pictures will be found.

  • Can the utility help me to find dates that fall into a certain range?

    Yes, Select by Value offers such an opportunity. Select your range and run the add-in. Tick off Dates. Then choose Select cells that are in the range, definde the range, and click Select.

    The same way you can find the dates that are out of your range and dates that are greater or less than specific dates.
