Auto BCC for Outlook adds BCC (blind carbon copy) and/or CC (carbon copy) automatically to all the outgoing emails that correspond to the rules you create.
Tip. You can enter your reserve email address into the Bcc box to always BCC yourself.
Note. To find a contact in your Outlook Address Book, click the Select recipients button.
The Select Names dialog will appear.
By using the search box, find a contact in your address lists. Then select the CC or BCC button. If you want to CC or BCC a distribution list, enter the name of the distribution list into the corresponding field.
You can also click the Select recipients button to find a contact in your Outlook Address Book.
Select a condition and click the certain words link to specify a word or phrase that must be looked for. When you're done, select Add and OK.
Note. When specifying a word or phrase that must be looked for, you can use an asterisk and a question mark as wildcards. If you want to look for a text string that contains an asterisk or a question mark character, put the whole text string, including the asterisk or the question mark character, between double quotation marks in the search box. For example, "some text*" or "some text?".
Tip. You can combine conditions.
If you want to set an exception to a rule, go to the Exceptions tab in the Rule Settings dialog.
Note. If any exception applies to a rule, the specified conditions won't be taken into consideration and a copy won't be sent.
Tip. When you select a rule, its description is shown under the rules list area. You can click an email address or a condition right there to make changes.
To enable the rule back, select its checkbox.
Rules are applied in the order you see them on the list. You can change the order by using the Move Up and Move Down buttons.
If you want to be notified each time CC or BCC has been sent, follow these steps:
As a result, a notification message will show up each time the add-in adds CC or BCC recipients.
If you want to see a dialog so that you can cancel adding CC or BCC recipients, do the following:
The dialog will contain the rule name, CC and/or BCC recipients' email addresses, and buttons that you can use to confirm or cancel sending copies.
With the logging feature turned on, you can view a log file. To make sure that logging is enabled, select Options.
Then check whether the Enable logging checkbox is selected.
To turn off the logging feature, clear the Enable logging checkbox.
To export or import your Auto BCC rules, select Options.
If you want to export the rules, click the Export rules button and select the needed destination.
To import the rules, select the Import rules button and browse for the necessary file.
