Force the Shared Email Templates update in your Outlook

Unfortunately, due to a problem on the side of Microsoft Office Store, updates do not always happen automatically.

How to update the add-in

To make the Shared Email Templates add-in update, follow these steps:

  1. On all your devices, close Outlook Desktop.
  2. In Outlook Online, uninstall the add-in, and then install it anew.
  3. Note. Since it might take up to 24 hours for Shared Email Templates to appear in your Outlook desktop, we recommend that you reinstall the add-in when you're not going to use it, for example before a weekend break.

How to update the add-in: Instructions for Microsoft 365 admins

  1. In Microsoft 365 admin center, go to Settings > Integrated apps.
  2. Select Shared Email Templates.
  3. Under Actions, select Update.

    If Update is not available under Actions, and your users can't find Shared Email Templates when reading emails, please redeploy the add-in. We recommend that you redeploy the add-in when your users are not going to use it, for example before a weekend break.

Note. If you installed the add-in using a custom manifest file, please contact us and we'll send you a new one.
