Hello, Sarah,

Thank you for the feedback.

I'm really sorry, the developers are still working on creating Mac versions. It can take some time due to the technical specificities.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

While we wait for a MAC version,  you can continue to use the add-ins if you run a windows VM. Mine works fine and I have been running excel in my VM most of the time.

Hello, Peri,

VM stands for Virtual Machine.

Sorry it takes so long to develop add-ins for MAC. There some technical features that need really much time and work.

I'd really like to help you better.

Sorry, we don't. The add-ins work only for Microsoft Office applications at the moment. However, we are working on the MAC versions of some Excel add-ins.

I would like to add my voice to this request.  I have used some of your products on  a Windows PC for a couple of years but transitioned to a MAC a couple of years ago.  I would really like to see a MAC version of Duplicate remover in particular and would be interested in any other you care to port.

Good news! We have just released our first add-in for MAC - Count & Sum by Color. We understand that it is not the most popular add-in. We need to make sure that the technology we use to develop the Mac versions works as expected.

You can find Count & Sum by Color for Microsoft Excel in Mac App Store.

Our developers are working hard to release other add-ins in a few months.

Thanks to everybody for your time and patience.

Please let the user community know when Ultimate Suite is available for MAC.  Over the last few years a large portion of the User community have migrated from Windows to Mac.

Hello, Delland,

I am sorry I can't give you the exact date when Ultimate Suite will be available for MAC.

Currently our developers are working on creating Mac versions of single add-ins to be able to introduce the whole Suite later.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hi, Andre your #1 fan here.    Every few years I check in when it's time for a new computer.   The ONE thing that stops me from going Apple is not having my "Merge Table Wizard" from AbleBits.    Any ETA info that you can share on "Merge Table Wizard" porting over to Apple / Excel?

Thanks and keep up the great work.

Hi Andre,

Thank you very much for being such a loyal user.

Merge Tables Wizard for MAC is currently in the process of developing. When the add-in is ready, it will take some time to test it. If everything works fine, we need to get permission to publish it in Mac App Store.

As you can see, there are several factors that affect the release date of the add-in.

We do hope it will be available for use in a couple of months.

Thank you for time and understanding.

I see this thread started back in June 2013 and it is now the end of 2014. Why is it taking so long to develop for the Mac? It is hard to believe that you don't have a single add-in developed and tested by now for Mac.

Hello, Jimmy,

Thank you for contacting us.

As I have already mentioned in the previous comment, not everything depends on us. The development of the add-ins takes so long due to some technical pecularities used in the Mac OS, i.e. protection system and security policy. Then we need some time to test it to be sure that it works as expected. To release the add-in, we should receive approval from Mac App Store that takes time as well.

Please note that we have already published our first add-in for Mac. It is Count & Sum by Color, you can find more information about it on this webpage.

If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us again.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback.

We fully understand our customers' concern in add-ins for Mac. However, the priority area of our work are still add-ins for Microsoft Office.

The development of add-ins for Mac is the new field for us and not all our programmers are involved in it. At the moment all the developers are working hard on the improvement and redesign of our add-in for Microsoft Excel.

Please also note that creating Mac versions requires much more time than developing add-ins for Microsoft Office due to some technical peculiarities used in the Mac OS and it also takes some time to get the add-ins approved by the Mac App Store.

Currently we have only 2 add-ins that work for Mac: Count and Sum by Color and Merge Tables Wizard.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for your interest in our product.

I am sorry, but our Template Phrases does not work with Outlook for Mac, the current version works for Microsoft Windows only.

Currently we have only two Excel add-ins that support Mac:

Count & Sum by Color app for Excel for Mac

Merge Tables Wizard app for Mac

Please note that our apps for Mac are purchased and downloaded through the Mac App Store.

Feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions.

When will you have a Mac version? I don't think there is an argument that needs to made anymore about the portion of people who use Mac...

I'm hugely disappointed that core features like merging files and worksheets is not yet available.  Can you respect your commitment to providing these to the other half of Excel users?

Chris

Hello, Chris,

We fully understand your disappointment, but we have to stop developing the add-ins for Mac at the moment due to the technical issues on Microsoft side that we cannot overcome. When (if) Microsoft fix the bugs, we'll continue our work in this direction.

Currently we have only 2 add-ins that work with Excel 2011 for Mac: Count & Sum by Color and Merge Tables Wizard

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

Hi Ekaterina Bespalaya,

If you do not intend to support add-ins for Mac, please do two things:

1) Remove all references to them on your website

2) REMOVE THEM FROM THE MAC APP STORE

I am a big fan of AgileBits, but this is a huge disappointment and has been a colossal waste of my time attempting to make your outdated and corrupt plugins for Mac work in my system environment.

Please have the integrity (which aligns with the AgileBits brand) to make your abandonment of Mac products crystal clear on your website and in the Mac App Store.

Sincerely,

Cavett Binion

Disappointed yet Reasonable AgileBits Software Fan

Thank you for your feedback, Cavett,

I'm really sorry, we cannot remove add-ins for mac from our website or store, since there are still many users with Excel 2011, who buy them. The information about the version we support can be found on our website on the add-in pages under the Free download tab.

I have passed your feedback to our webmaster, he will see what can be done to make this information more clear.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

I also want to bump this thread. I think you are underestimating your potential costumer base on Mac. Many people use Excel on their Macs both professionally and privately. It is also a group with much purchasing power.

We understand the economic benefits of the add-ins for Mac. However, technically we can't move on in this direction at the moment due to the issues on Microsoft side.

Hello,

When I use Mac version Merge Tables Wizard, I have problemems merging to a table sheet with cells colored or text with color. It updates correctly firts row and keeps the original color, but the next rows until the last row with data updates automatically with the same color losing the original dates.

Could you fix this bug for Mac version?

Many thanks

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. I'm sorry that you are having difficulty of this kind.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to keep the format of the data from the Lookup table in the current version of Merge Tables Wizard for Mac. Our developer will look into the possibility to change this behavior, but I cannot give you any guarantee that the functionality will be supported. If there is any news, I'll post an update in this forum topic.

Sorry I can't assist you better at the moment.
