How to work with Attachment Alarm


How to add new alarm keywords

  1. Open the Attachment Alarm dialog box by clicking on its icon Click on this icon to open the add-in. In Microsoft Outlook 2010 you’ll see it on the Ablebits.com tab: add-in in Outlook 2010 If you have Outlook 2007-2003, go to Outlook menu -> Tools -> Attachment Alarm. Add-in in Outlook 2007-2003

    Tip: You will see seven default key phrases on the add-in’s dialog box. You can disable, edit or delete them if necessary.

  2. Enter the alarm key words you need into the "Check message for the following word(s)" field and click the Add button. Enter a new key word and click Add The key words you enter automatically appear in the keywords list.
  3. Click the OK button to save your key words.

How to edit alarm keywords

You can change or edit your alarm keywords if necessary.

  1. Open the Attachment Alarm dialog box by clicking on its icon Click on this icon to open the add-in.
  2. Select the keyword you want to change in the keywords list and press the Edit button on the right side of the dialog box. Edit key word by selecting it and clicking Edit

    Tip: There are two more ways you can edit a word. You can simply double-click on the word in the list or right-click on it and select the Edit option from the menu.

  3. Make the necessary changes and press Enter.
  4. Click the OK button to save the changes.

How to delete alarm keywords

If you no longer use some keyword, you can delete it from the list.

  1. Open the Attachment Alarm window by clicking on its icon Click on this icon to open the add-in.
  2. Select the item you want to delete in the keywords list and click the Delete button on the add-in's dialog box. Delete a key word from the list

    Tip: You can also delete a keyword by right-clicking on it and selecting the Delete option from the menu. Or press the "Delete" button on your keyboard.

  3. Click OK to save changes.

How to disable and enable keywords

  1. Open the Attachment Alarm pane by clicking on its icon Click on this icon to open the add-in.
  2. To disable a keyword, unselect the check box next to it. If you want to enable a keyword, make sure the check box next to it is selected. Unselect the check box next to the keyword to disable it

    Tip: Right-click on the necessary item in the keywords list and select the option to disable or enable it respectively.
