How to fill the range with integers

1. Select a range that you want to fill with integers in your worksheet, see How to select a range.
2. Expand the Integer section on the Random Generator pane by clicking on the arrows next to the Integer section.
3. In the From and to fields, define the minimum and maximum integers. You can manually type in the required values. Or you can set the values by clicking the up and down arrows next to the From and to fields.
4. If you need unique random values, tick the Unique values checkbox and all the generated values will be different.
   You can generate from -2147483648 to 2147483647 unique random integers.
5. Click on the Generate button to fill your range with random integers.
6. If you want to change the generated random values in the selected range, just press Generate again and these integers will be automatically replaced by new integer values.

Tip: If there are more cells in the range than generated unique values, the lower cells will remain empty. To fill them you need to increase the gap between the values in the From and to fields.

How to fill the range with real numbers

1. In your worksheet select a range that you want to fill with real numbers, see how to select a range.
2. Expand the Real section on the Random Generator pane by clicking on the arrows next to the Real section.
3. Set the minimum value in the From field and the maximum value in the to field. You can manually enter the required values. Or you can set the values by clicking the up and down arrows next to the From and to fields. You can generate from -99999999.9 to 99999999.9 random real numbers.
4. If you need unique random real numbers, tick the Unique values checkbox and all the generated values will be different.
5. Click on the Generate button to fill your range with random real values.
6. If you want to change the generated random values in the selected range, just press Generate again and these real numbers will be automatically replaced by new ones.

How to fill the range with dates

1. In your worksheet select a range that you want to fill with dates. Click here to see how to select a range.
2. Expand the Date section on the Random Generator pane by clicking on the arrows next to the Date section.
3. Select the initial and final dates in the From and to fields.
4. You can enter the values manually or use the built-in calendar. To use the calendar, click the down arrow next to the From or to field respectively.
The calendar displays the current year, month and day. To select a different date, choose the necessary month and year by clicking on the left or right side arrow. Then select the required day to define the date: You can also click on the value that shows the month and year between the left and right side arrows to navigate to other months of a given year faster: Click on the same value in the middle again to see 12 years and select the year you need.
Note! This option is only available for Windows 7 or Vista.


5. You can get workdays and weekends generated separately. If you want to generate only workdays, tick the Workday checkbox. If you want to fill the range with weekend days only, tick the Weekend checkbox.
To generate weekends and workdays at the same time, tick both options.
6. If you need unique random dates, tick the Unique values checkbox and all the generated dates will be different. You can generate unique random dates from 01.01.1900 till 31.12.2100.
7. Click on the Generate button to fill your range with random dates. If the generated values don't appear as dates, please change the format of the cells using the standard Excel Format Cells… option.
8. If you want to change the generated random dates in the selected range, just press Generate again and these dates will be automatically replaced by new ones.

How to fill the range with Booleans

1. In your worksheet select a range that you want to fill with Booleans, See how to select a range.
2. Expand the Boolean section on the Random Generator pane by clicking on the arrows next to the Boolean section.
3. To select a Boolean, click the down arrow next to the Value field and select the necessary value from the drop-down list. You can generate true/false or yes/no values.
4. Click on the Generate button to fill your range with random Booleans.
5. If you want to change the generated random values in the selected range, just press Generate again and these Booleans will be automatically replaced by new values.

How to select a range

1. Open the Random Generator pane by clicking on its icon .
2. In your worksheet select a range that you want to fill in. You will see the address of the selected range in the Data Range field.
3. If you want to fill a single column, just select this column.
4. To generate data for several columns or a block of cells, select them.
5. You can also select a range by clicking on the select range icon next to the Data Range field.
6. You can also fill in several ranges at the same time. Select them by holding the Ctrl key. But please keep in mind that all ranges are filled independently. So if you are generating unique values, they will be unique only within one range.
