How show and hide Style Manager pane
You can show / hide the Style Manager pane by doing one of the following:
- Click on its icon

- Go to Excel menu -> Ablebits.com -> Style Manager for Excel (in Excel 2003 - 2000 only).
- Press the Ctrl+Shift+S hotkey.
How to add a new style to the collection
- Open the Style Manager pane (see how to show / hide the pane).
- In your Excel worksheet, select the cell whose format you want to add to your style collection.
- Click the
"Add style" button in the Style Manager toolbar.
- Enter a new style name that will be added to your style collection.
- Click the OK button.
How to apply a style to the cell(s)
- In your Excel worksheet select the cell(s) that you want to format.
- Open the Style Manager pane if its hidden (see how to show / hide the pane).
- Double-click on the style that you want to apply or select the style and click the
"Apply style" button in the Style Manager toolbar.
How to rename a style in the styles collection
- Select the style that you want to rename in the style tree.
- Press F2 or click on the
"Rename" button in the Style Manager toolbar.
- Enter a new style name and press "Enter".
How to delete a style from the collection
- Select the style that you want to delete from the style tree.
- Press Shift+Del or click on the
"Rename" button in the Style Manager toolbar.
- Confirm than your really want to delete the style.
How to move a style in your styles tree
Just select the style you need and drag it to the wanted group.
How to create a new folder in your styles collection
- Open the Style Manager pane (see how to show / hide the pane).
- Select the location in the style tree where you want to create a new folder.
- Select the New Folder item in the popup menu or press F7.
- Enter a new folder name and press "Enter".
How to adjust the width of the Style Manager pane
- Open the Style Manager pane (see how to show / hide the pane).
- Move the cursor to the border between the Style Manager pane and the Excel worksheet. The cursor will look like this
- Press the left mouse button and drag the pane to the needed width.
- Release the left mouse button.
