This handy add-in for Microsoft Excel makes searching across multiple Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and workbooks easy, fast and comfortable. From now on you won't have to click Excel's "Find Next" time and again. The Advanced Find and Replace pane is neatly built into your worksheets and all found data are conveniently displayed in a tree reducing the number of clicks to one and the search time to a second.

Search options

Advanced Find and Replace displays all open Microsoft Excel workbooks and their spreadsheets in a tree making it very convenient to choose the worksheets to search.

You can search across all open workbooks, in selected spreadsheets only, or in the currently selected range.

Search in values, formulas, hyperlinks and comments

You can simultaneously search for values, formulas, hyperlinks and comments in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.

Found values

If you have ever searched in Acrobat Reader, you certainly appreciated their comfortable manner of representing search results. With Advanced Find & Replace you will get exactly the same. The add-in displays all found items in a neat pane to the left of your Microsoft Excel workbook. It looks and behaves like a native part of Excel and will never impede your work by overlapping some of your data like the standard Excel Find dialog does.

You no longer need to seek where exactly the search dialog has moved after you clicked "Find Next" in Excel. Or if you prefer to search using "Find all", you needn't drag the standard form with the found results back and forth to see the entries it overlays.

You can easily set the width of Advanced Find & Replace's pane to make it most comfortable for your work. Just place the cursor on the right border of the pane (the cursor takes the look of "horizontal resize"), left click the mouse, and drag the border to any position you like. If you don't need the add-in, just close or minimize its pane.

Easy navigation in search results

When you highlight an entry in the search results, the add-in navigates to its original location and selects it in your worksheet. You immediately see where exactly the found data are located.

Replace all or selected search results

You can select some of the found items and replace these entries only, or replace all found results at once.

Easy access to the add-in

You can use the standard Ctrl+F hotkey to open Advanced Find and Replace.

Export found items to a new workbook

You can also export found data to a new workbook for further analysis. Besides exporting all found entries, you can choose to:

• Export rows or columns with found values
• Export highlighted entries, i.e. items that you selected within search results
• Export rows or columns containing highlighted entries
